BIOGRAPHY
Ben Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Design for Theatre and Television) from Charles Sturt University.
After graduating from university he was lighting designer, Patrick Woodroffe’s assistant on The Boy From Oz (arena spectacular) and the associate lighting designer for Titanic, a new musical in Australia. Ben has also lit the Australian version of the IQ Squared Debates, which aired nationally on the ABC and internationally on BBC World.
He has worked on a variety of award shows including The 2005 ARIA Awards, the APRA Screen Music Awards, the IF Awards and Australian International Design Awards and lit Lorna Luft in her only concert of Australia.
Ben’s lighting designs have seen him cast light over many different genres and shows including comedy, drama, dance, concerts, orchestral, television and award shows. Some of his credits include; Love of the Nightingale directed by John Sheedy, The Lark and The Golden Age directed by Clarence Sophie Dany, Below, Medea and for television Australian Idol, Australia Day Live and Mother of all Galas.
